The Mind Bender Mk Ultra is a faithful recreation of the legendary MkI, the fuzz circuit that started it all. Housed in the classic Big Box Wedge enclosure, finished in hammer gold & hammer black, this build delivers the raw, primal fuzz tones that shaped the earliest era of rock.
At its heart are rare NOS transistors, carefully selected for authenticity and tone:
Q1: Valvo OC71Z
Q2: Valvo OC71Z
Q3: Texas Instruments 2N130x
The result is the classic mk1 sound, with the perfect sag, compression, and sustain, making every note bloom with vintage character. The Attack control offers a wide and musical sweep, from spitty, gated textures to roaring sustain.
Bold, expressive, and uncompromising—it captures the essence of one of the rarest and most sought-after fuzz circuits in history.
As a little extra, i added a 3 way switch which changes the bass response from classic to a deeper more sagy response.
